Early takeaways from NBA action

The NBA is finally back and although it is still super early in the season, it is not surprise that there have already been some wild revelations. The number one reality show on the planet had no shortage of memorable moments during the first few days of action, and here are a few.

Patrick Beverley is literally a psychopath

If you were wondering if Beverley would bring his same fiery attitude from Houston to LA this season, you got your answer when the Clippers faced off with the cross-town rival Lakers. Beverley was assigned to guard infamous rookie Lonzo Ball, and boy was he excited for it. Throughout the game Beverly was constantly up in Lonzo’s grill, swatting the ball away from him and giving the occasional profanity as well.

It looked as if someone had kept Beverley in a secluded room for weeks and then finally let him out moments before tip-off. The guy looked like a pitbull who got off its leash and then decided it would make Lonzo Ball’s life a living hell. Patrick Beverley, you are a psychopath and I love it.

The Kyrie & LeBron beef might top KD v. Russ

We all knew opening night in Cleveland would be something special. Kyrie returning to “The Land” where his daddy LeBron was waiting for him. Besides an awful Gordon Hayward injury, it was actually a great game. Yet the best action came just after the final buzzer.

This “dap up” after the game was viewed by many as LeBron and Kyrie getting along. Boy, those people could not be more wrong. This was an attempt by James to belittle Kyrie by pulling him in and patting him on the head as if he was his little kid and he wanted to comfort him. Kyrie comes back with his own head bop and the whole situation goes from a handshake to who can give the other one a concussion first. So much pettiness and YOU DIDN’T EVEN NOTICE.

It didn’t stop there. On Friday in Philly, Kyrie was asked about LeBron by a curious Sixers fan. Kyrie decided to go with a nice NSFW response below focusing on oral sex that you can listen to below.

Kyrie v. LeBron is going to be an incredible show all season long and I need all of it like I need two pillows to fall asleep at night.

The NBA is doing color rush now

As someone who is not a big fan of the NBA, this was my biggest takeaway. It seems with the new Nike uniforms players are now wearing supporting gear that is the same color as their uni’s which is giving off such a color rush vibe.

If the NBA is about to adapt the greatest thing the NFL has ever done, I may have to buy a season pass and just take in all of the fashion beauty the league has to offer. My small brain could care less about watching some of the best athletes on the planet go at it, but if you give me the Celtics wearing green uniforms and then throw in more green I am so there. Give me color rush or give me death.
